We haven’t touched very often the subject of development methodologies in this blog.

It’s about time we pay a little attention to this important subject. Having and following a comprehensive, simple and agile development processes definitely adds up to the final quality of a software product. It will be easier to have checkpoints in the process that will take care of the different aspects that contribute to software quality: code inspections, static analysis, testing, etc. I have lately come across a couple of very instructive and fun videos that describe one of the most popular agile methodologies out there: Scrum.

Happy new year to all our readers. After the holiday break we are back with new hopes and projects for the new year. Among the myriad of emails received full with the next IT trends for 2013 not a single one listed Software Quality in the top 10. What’s wrong with  analysts, IT journalists and bloggers? Okay, mobile, big data, more cloud services and  infrastructure, they are all hot topics for all kind of organizations but without software quality any IT initiative can be a money pit in 2013 and years to come.
